La Cita de Mi Verano By: Dayona McNeil, Mabintu Donzo and Terrance williams
Mabintu La Conversación Parte Uno Terrance 1.) Tengo que llamar a Terrance. 2.) Hola Terrance! 4.) Muy muy bien. Que hiciste el verano pasado? 6.) Bien! Qué tal? 9.) Ok, está bien. 3.) Hola, Como Estas? 5.) Pasé tiempo con mi novia. 7.) Muy Muy Bien. 8.) Yo debo llamar a Dayonna.
Dayonna La Conversación Parte Dos Terrance 1.) Hola? 2.) Hola Dayonna! 3.) Hola, Como Estas? 4.) Bien. Tienes un momento? 5.) Si. No es problema. 6.) Estas segura? 7.) Si, Qué hiciste pasado verano con Maya? 8.) Ay, muy cómico. Es por eso que te llamamos por teléfono. 9.) Que tal la cita con Maya? 10.) Muy Bien
La Explicación Parte Uno My script- Hey Noah! So in the previous conversation you see that immediately, she asks me what did I do last summer? The verb used in this question is hacer. Now, despite any time tense you are using, whether it be past, present or future, you would conjugate hacer for tú. Now, when you conjugate a verb in the preterite tense, things change a little. You notice that I say hiciste. This is not how you would conjugate any er verb. It is different with hacer because it is an irregular verb. Also, another preterite tense verb you see is pasé. This verb is pronounced as pasar while in the infinitive state, and is conjugated with pasó when referring to the subject yo (or I). But, when you conjuagate it for yo in the preterite tense, it changes from ending with ar to é. Now, learning these conjugation rules may be a little tricky, but believe me, you will get the hang of it. (Mabintu had a script to but did not send it... It is also a video that we made.)
La Cita con Maya Parte Uno Mabintu Dayona 1.) Adónde fuiste ayer con Maya? 3.) Está bien. Hablaron? 5.) De qué hablaron...? 7.) Le hicisteis a Maya unos cumplidos? Terrance 2.) Nosotros fuimos al ciñe y un restaurante en Nueva York. 4.) Si. 6.) No sé. 9.) A las chicas les gustan los cumplidos. 8.) Si. Es lo que dije primero.
La Explicación Parte Tres Hey Noah, I m back again. This time, there are multiple examples where preterite tense verbs are used. And on the other hand, there are a few present tense verbs as well. So, in the very first sentence of the conversation Mabintu asks where did I go with Maya. Normally, it would be ir, or voy if it is conjugated for I, this is in the present tense. But, since she is asking me where did I go with Maya, it makes it past tense. And of course, I respond with another form of preterite ir known as fuimos. This is the preterite form of ir when referring to the subject we. Most of the time any conjugated verb when referring to we, will have mos at the end. Also, another verb I used is seen in a previous conversation, hablar. Now hablaron is conjugated for you guys, ustedes or ellos, or ellas. In ths case it is ellos. When conjugating an ar verb for ellos, you drop the ar, and add aron. Again, you see the preterite they form of hacer, that weird irregular verb. Notice, when using different times in one conversation be sure to stay on your toes so you can keep up with what time you are talking about. For example, Dayona says A las chicas les gustan los cumplidos. This means grils like compliments. Now gustar is a regular ar verb so you can use that conjugation rule I told you about earlier, drop the ar and add aron. Now, this would only be if it were in the preterite tense. We are talking about the present so we would conjugate it accordingly. For this you simply drop the ar and and an. Well now, hopefully you are a little more clear with the conjugation rules. Have fun learning Spanish Adios!!!
La Conversación Parte Tres Dayona Mabintu Terrance 2.) Yo tambien, tengo que terminar mi proyecto de español 1.) Adios,Tengo que hacer la tarea. 3.) Ok. Adios 4.) Ok. Buenos Noches!! 5.) Adios!!!
